One of Brunswick County's vintage courses, this George Cobb creation on Oak Island was designed in 1962. It is a forgiving course (6720 yard, par 72 from the back tees) that can be enjoyed by players of varying skills. Its wide bermudagrass fairways are relatively short, lined with live oaks and tall pines and not overly fortified with water hazards. But that ocean wind!  Sea breezes can frustrate even the best players. Even so, the TifEagle greens, driving range, putting green and swimming pool make this course quite popular.
