Events in Southport/Oak Island/Bald Head, NC

A variety of annual events and festivals takes place year-round in Southport, NC. Because of its location on the water, many of the events here are water related. You will find fishing tournaments, yacht races, a wooden boat show and pirate invasions as well as art and music, food events, fireworks, children's activities and things to do every day of the week.

You will find a variety of events on Bald Head Island, NC especially during the season and on holidays. These include a fishing rodeo, a twice yearly art league show, an annual picnic, and an invasion by pirates. Many other events are available to residents of Bald Head island by taking a 20 minute ferry ride to Southport.

You will find a number of events happening on Oak Island, NC throughout the year. These include band concerts, fishing tournaments, arts and crafts festivals, environmental festivals, a Big Toy Day especially for kids and a day for women only to learn about fishing. There are more events in which to be involved by traveling the short distance to Southport.
