Though this restaurant was named the #1 Seafood Dive in NC in the Spring of 2012 by Coastal Living Magazine, unless they have been forewarned, first time visitors looking for 'Provisions' (as this restaurant is referred to by the locals) may go right by it thinking they have been given incorrect directions. The only indication that this little shack on the waterfront is a restaurant is the line of people that may be waiting to get inside. Once you do get inside you will find the menu written on a chalkboard. Sandwiches from grilled yellowfin tuna to grouper salad to hamburgers and hotdogs are included, as are salads and sides. You can get the salads with shrimp, tuna or chicken. Conch fritters and steamed shrimp are on the menu, as are daily specials. All seating is outdoors overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway where you can enjoy the natural scenery and the passing boats. Don't miss the sunset from the seats in the Provision Company. This restaurant is closed during the off season.
