For very reasonable annual membership dues ($20 each), you can meet people, make friends, be involved in many activities, and receive a monthly newsletter from this nonprofit organization. Activities include a monthly dinner meeting, trips for shopping and entertainment, movie nights, brunches, ladies’ teas, chair exercise classes and games; including dominoes, Bridge, MahJongg, Pinochle, and many others. Computer classes are available upon request. Various groups, such as the Book Club and the Writer’s Club, also hold meetings here. Other artistic and crafting groups, such as watercolor painting, oil painting, decorative painting and basket making, which includes Nantucket baskets, meet at specific times throughout the week. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced, it’s fun to get together with a bunch of your peers to get help and enjoy the camaraderie.
