November, 2020  The Charles Dickens Christmas Festival recognizes the birthday of Charles Dickens. For two days the streets of Southport will be transformed into everything Dickens. There will be dramatic performances, singing groups, plays, artists and crafts persons in specialized fields, food, drink and more. Contests include: a Christmas Tree Contest, a Gingerbread House Contest and a Costume Contest. The festival runs from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM on Friday and from 10 AM until 6 PM on Saturday. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 7 to 12 and free for children ages 6 and younger.
